eli and i had a fun day today.

we played bubbles outside until it got too warm...

Now that he won't let ME blow the bubbles, and he has to do it himself, we may need a new bottle of bubbles every time. (notice the bubble soaked shirt!)

while he napped, i got to vacuum my new carpet and sit down in the basement and enjoy the new carpet smell.

eli loves his new big open space of all carpet.

he runs around there like a mad man.

we are moving some toys down tomorrow.

it's nice and cool down there, so just get me a bean bag chair or maybe some pillows

(and maternity leave)

and eli and i will just hang out down there until june.

we got some shelving like this to tame the toy mess....

thinking i almost have enough cats to do this.

We went to the firehouse tonight and Eli got to witness daddy leaving in a fire truck...

lights and sirens and all.

He was pretty impressed, and then he walked around the station yelling "MIKE!"

He is also very impressed with the "chief's car".

i think i could make a hobby of JUST taking pictures at the firestation.

Tonight I tried (for the second time) to give Eli chicken fingers.

this time WITH ketchup.

The first time I couldn't even get him to chew one to see if it tasted good.

HE LOVED THEM.

He ate 5, and 2 big piles of ketchup.

First source of protein in 10 months i think.

fried or not, i'll take it!
we have errands to run tomorrow
