The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more
sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and
your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling
small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development
of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice
for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's
continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and
two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber)
from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning
to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three
days.
Aren't you so glad you know that ? About his testicles?
Eli played hard today.
We went to wildwood park where I glistened my pregnancy glow (of sweat) and he ran around staring at people, alternating with playing on the jungle gym.
Some lady asked her kid if he was a monkey and Eli butted in and promptly replied "no."
That is his newest thing. He says NO to everything in the form of a question.
Eli, are you having a bad day or WHAT? (in the middle of a temper tantrum) -- NO!!
We played outside a bunch, and even broke out the swimming trunks.
I squirt him with the hose and he seemed to like it, til he didn't. Then he said mama stop.
Such a little grown up boy. (and such a mean mommy I am.)
He even helped dada in the yard.
And checked around the house every so often to make sure he didn't miss the mail man or the trash truck.
Eli is now calling me "biiiiggg mama" and he is right.
Who ordered a heat wave in March?
