pregnancy brain

Either I have become more blonde in the last few months, or I have early onset alzheimers. Or, just plain old pregnancy brain.
I misplace earrings, forget to bring keys to the pharmacy, tell the same story 3 times.
I just put my pharmacist jacket in the washer with keys, name badge, pharmacist LICENSE in pocket. UGH!
Or maybe I am just distracted, trying to think all the time about the logistics of 2 kids.
Do I want a double stroller?
How will I go to the mall?
I WON'T go to the mall!
Do I want to buy an apnea monitor in case Sam wants to sleep on his belly?
When should I get rid of Eli's pacifier?
Before Sam, or after?
How will I NOT pick up Eli after a c-section for a few weeks??
Such critical decisions, or at least I like to make them seem critical in my head sometimes.

This week, Sam baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

It's funny because I just started noticing Sam's hiccups. He moves in there like a wildman most of the time, just like Eli used to do.  I try to get Eli to feel his brother kicking, but he really can't be bothered to hold still that long. The concept of a baby is still too WAY advanced for his little brain.
I get to schedule my c-section date next week.
Nothing like picking your babies birthday!
Eli was certainly in control of HIS birthday

No surprise there!
I "picked" July 13th, and he "picked" July 14th, and HE won.
(don't worry, I've forgiven him)

We have had a busy week...
we drove to Mogadore for a few days, saw all the grandmas and papas, and aunts and uncles.
Mike has had Eli a lot too...
today they went to feed the ducks in Gahanna,

and yesterday they played with all the new matchbox cars that Eli just got.

We got a bubble gun
(all Easter gifts, that I have given him already... because he doesn't know when it's Easter, right?)

One day it's hot, the next day it's cold.

It kinda goes with my hot flashes though.
Always dress in layers.

I have a sleepy baby upstairs who looks so content with his pacifier.

What will it hurt for a few more months years?
