THIRTY 30 weeks!!!

Thirty weeks seems like a LOT!
We are getting somewhere finally!
63 more days max!

This week I have been on vacation and at home with Eli.
It has been wonderful and we have done a lot of just hanging out and doing things we don't usually get to do.
His new obsession is getting a bucket full of rocks and taking them back to the pond to throw them in the water.
He is getting pretty good at communicating EXACTLY what he wants.
Big rocks. Pond. Throw.
Not full sentences, but he gets the point across.
He really likes his boo-boos to be kissed.
mama. boo-boo. arm.

Sometimes when I am at work a lot, suddenly I come home and he is doing all these new things. And I feel like I missed it being at work so much.
But being at home with him all week, I have noticed that when he starts doing new things, it is literally overnight.
This week, he has started calling himself by name.
(How long would he NOT say his name?)
First it came out wee-why but now it's more e-yi and this week he now calls himself Eli Jackson.
Yesterday he surprised me when he named off every yo-gabba-gabba character.

I swear you can't even blink and he is different.
And he gets cuter everyday.
I pretended to cry the other night because he wouldn't give me a hug.
Now every time I ask for a hug, he asks me to cry.
Tonight he saw Mike feeling Sam kick, so now he gently puts his hand on my belly like he is feeling something.
(but overall he is still pretty mean to my belly - kicking, hitting - I always have to be on guard.)

We went to the zoo this week.
Eli and I, and Allison with Max and Jude.
Eli loved it - more than I thought he would.
He wanted out of his stroller and wanted to "SEE!!" everything.

He spent most of the day walking around and not being in his stroller.
Luckily, Max reeled him in (by his overalls) if he ran too far ahead.

Little fearless Eli was not so brave when we rode the carousel.

So other than the zoo, we have stayed around home.
Eli helped Mike lay some top soil..

and he got himself a little bit of a farmers tan the last few days.

More hanging out planned for this weekend.

and try not to get ourselves in too much trouble.
