may two

the cankle fairy visited me again today.
i think the cankles are here to stay.
i have turned into a mess this pregnancy,
and i swear people around me think i have to be making this crap up just to whine.
yesterday at work i thought that someone might be landing a plane on the roof ....
suddenly i heard this roaring noise.
funny thing is no one else could hear it and i've been hearing it ever since.
and i can't hear much else out of my right ear.
and i went to the doctor and they gave me nasal spray for some possible fluid in my inner ear.
i have never been sick or taken an antibiotic for as long as i can remember in my adult life.
and since i've been pregnant with sam i have used antibiotics, neti-pots, inhalers, nasal sprays.
this child must be someone important (president? an american idol winner?)
to be making such a fuss coming into this world.
i have a feeling there is much more in store for me in the next 7 weeks.

Today was a 10 hour day, and I got home just in time to play some trucks with Eli and read some books about trucks, and then watch some thomas before bed.
i try to read him books about bunnies or babies or potty training.
he says no and gets me the same old construction vehicle books.
god love him i think it's safe to say he's not gay.
(but i will still continue to dress him like he is sometimes)

and all boy or not, little boy still loves to kiss his mama.

i've got him trained just right.
he gives me the MWAH noise and all.
and he only makes me pretend to cry half the time to get a kiss.

Mike and Eli are having a daddy day care week this week.
This morning they found a snapping turtle before breakfast.
they picked him up (safely) and transported him to the pond.
Eli will tell you the turtle is at home in the pond.
but more like ... turtle. home. pond.
Mike has mostly taken over bath time since my belly is so huge and awkward for bending over the tub.
He has also taken over cooking and a lot of cleaning and basically i get to work and get home and play with Eli and that's all the energy i have.
i think we will all be happy when life gets back to normal, or our new normal with two children!
