i thought when i signed up for this, i meant to select the easy kid package?
didn't i sign up for easy kids?
what?
oh, these two.
a run for their money, that's what they are.
non. stop.
but we love it.
how can you not?
they make you smile, even when you are trying hard NOT to.
like when eli notices my new purse. he says, "did the big brown truck bring that for mommy."
or when cheri and i take eli for a 5 mile run, and he acts like he won a million dollars because he gets to go by himself. "WITHOUT SAMMY?!!" he says, his eyes shining with excitement! If you ever have self-esteem problems, you should have a few kids. There is nothing more important to them than spending time with you.
this one smiles the biggest smiles when he catches your eye. he nods no-no, yes, waves bye, claps, and points. Oh, and the sharing. The sharing is too cute. He will share anything with you... cars, puffs, his pacifier. He loves to share, and then take back, then share again.
this one is STILL riding his tricycle...
two years almost... with the seat at it's highest setting and the wheels a little rickety...
so i convince him today to ride his big boy bike (yes, in the HOuSE!)
and he's doing really good.
He catches on so quick.
So so smart.
Too smart for his own good.
He gets out of his bed in the morning now.
We lock him in...so he says "mommy, i want out and the door is LOCKED!!".
Or, if we forget to lock it... he appears in my room. . . "mommy, i FOUND you!"
Or the newest, "Mommy and Daddy SHARE a bed?"
He's very intrigued by that.
He has reminded me that I need to shut sammy's car door before driving, and reminded wau-wau that she needs to feed sammy a bottle before his nap.
He is much much too smart.
Little papa brought him some carp for the pond, and he was concerned big papa would go fishing and catch them all.
Little papa brought him some carp for the pond, and he was concerned big papa would go fishing and catch them all.
He is also VERY VERY stubborn... will NOT potty train or even talk about the potty or underwear or pee or anything close.
He simply chooses to ignore you if you talk about that.
Or he says "I'm not talking right now."
He loves his brother
He loves his brother
even if he is super mean to him sometimes.
But overall, he loves him.

I still love him too...
even if he woke me up 2 hours earlier than normal this morning and then PUKED all over me and my new clean sheets.
He's lucky he's cute.

they both are actually.

2 year old (going on 3 year old) temper tantrums, teething, 2 colds, and 2 full-time parents makes for 1 house full of craziness.
but would we have it any other way? It's fun. it's exciting! It's overwhelming, but at the end of the day, so worth it. Because they are mine...all mine...and sometimes that is so hard to believe.
