i'm leeeeeaaaaavin'

we're leavin', on a jet plane...

it is starting to sink in that i am really leaving ... on a plane (8 planes) to fly to hawaii and leave my babies behind.

it is going to be so much fun, so relaxing, such a much needed break for mike and i. 

plus my BROTHER is getting MAAAARRIED!
but leaving these two, especially eli, who understands. 

ugh.

he says, mommy and daddy are leaving to hawaii. wauwau and papa are staying here with TWO BOYS!

then he said...mommy take sam. i'll stay here with daddy.

i tried to convince him he would rather stay here with me, but he's not going for it.

so i got him this little bear at hallmark, and you can record your voice.

i thought he might be a little freaked out at first, with mommy's voice in a bear and all, but he loves it.

he already named him "caw".

like paw, except caw? I have no idea where he gets this stuff.

but i made it say "night, night eli, mommy loves you.", so he could listen at bedtime when i was gone. 

it was a little gift from me to him.

but his first reaction...

does daddy love you?

so i had to change it, and then feel like a selfish person because i always say mommy loves you... and it turns out mike always tells him mommy AND daddy love you.

 i let him get sunburnt saturday too.

I'm 0 for 2 so far this week. 

daddy is the one that is always here the most with the boys.

i think he will miss them even more than me.

sammy is loving the sand box and has figured out how to get his chubby hands in a snack cup.

still REFUSES to think about drinking out of a sippy cup. 

sammy sam has a MIND of his own.

i hope we don't come home after 8 days to find him walking and talking and drinking out of a sippy cup.
actually...wauwau, that would be great. teach him how to drink out of a sippy cup.
potty train eli while you're at it.
