we are on the mend

Quite possibly my favorite expression he owns. It makes me smile every time.

Today was much better than yesterday.
Eli was my buddy and cooperated for the most part.
Only 2 trips to time out.
Both times he was saying 'be nice sammy' over and over.
then he would say 'be nice wall? no' - and hit the wall.

This was our 1 hour in the jogging stroller...

The boy just can't stand to leave Sammy alone.

But really, for the most part, he was a good boy today.
and listened when i told him to keep his own legs on his own side.

I love to see his little legs in his low ankle socks.

wonder how many times i wiped snot from this nose? BLOW, learn to BLOW damnit!
He continues to be a little mama's boy, which is annoying but oh so cute.
When i pick him up, he latches on to me -- legs around my waist, arms around me neck (almost choking me) and head on my shoulder. There's no complaints about having a little boy that loves you.
I remember wanting a baby of my own so bad... so that I could be that one important person to him/her.
So I'm thankful for my mama's boy... even if he is as rough and rambunctious as they come, he's not too tough to need 'mama hold you'.

and could he look any more like his father from this angle???

Sammy seems to be feeling better and we slept last night.
The smiles are back

but he still has those sick eyes.

I'm hoping we are on our way to healthy and we can go back to our normal craziness.
and hopefully no more fevers because eli dumped a whole new bottle of tylenol onto the floor.
