This week flew by ... Between me working 5 days a week now and having two (three) ailing boys, this week is a blur.
Eli had a random day of a fever, then Sam, both boys had stuffy noses, Eli has a cough, mike has all of the above, Sam had an all night scream fest Wednesday-- which brought him into the doctor thursday -- with a clean bill of health. The doctor's thoughts -- babies can get headaches. ???
Eli had a belly ache all day yesterday and really wouldn't eat today. Yesterday he freaked me out a few times--- and my vomit panic kicked in. I started making deals with mike about him cleaning up the puke. Luckily, no puke. I think he just had some stomach cramps and nausea. and ... the newest is Eli's injured toe. He fell off the (high) bar stool tonight and initially acted fine. But during his bath I spotted his swollen and black and blue big toe... And he's been whining about it hurting and is limping. Maybe our first broken bone. ? Tomorrow we will see what it looks like.
So... can we have a dull moment around here?
This week Wau-wau was here,
then Mimi,
and Sarah.
But mostly it's been daddy.
Daddy all day and daddy all night.
Last night there were kids awake at multiple times through the night and I missed it all. (It pays to marry a firefighter, with an instinct to bolt out of bed the instant he hears a noise !!)
We had a mini valentines day on Thursday -- and Eli got a little gift bag with a slinky, play-doh, tattoos, and a monster truck.
He loved it all and has been toting around his little felt bag full of his belongings all week.
I made a cake --WITH sprinkles-- that Eli had been requesting.
When he tasted it he said "I love this cake. It smells like .... DUMP TRUCKS!!"
THAT is the ultimate compliment from him.
We are still on a puzzle kick --- and Eli wants to do puzzles all day long. He is so good at them -- it's amazing. Sammy's interest involve PUFFS, Eli's matchbox cars, and putting his pacifier in and out of his mouth. He has NO interest in crawling. If I put him in the crawling position, he will rock back and forth,
but then he eventually flops to the ground where he is happy just rolling.
Rolling and watching Eli.
That is our week in a nut shell. I mean nut house. This place is a nuthouse.
