After 6 weeks (or more?) of holding sammy's fingers while he walks,

THIS finally happened yesterday...

THIS finally happened yesterday...
13 1/2 months old... little shit. he has known how to walk since his birthday, but was afraid to try it on his own until now. He has been adamant that you walk with him, and if you don't, he throws himself on the floor in a temper tantrum. So walking... is a welcome milestone!!!
On the same day, Sammy got his first haircut!
eli too...
i am about to go back to work after having 12 days off with these two handsome boys.
we had a fun time, and yeah, i had surgery, but it wasn't so bad and i got to have some bonus time off work just spending time with my little family.
we had a great time this weekend when we went up to visit mimi.
i took both boys and we had a weekend of fun with miss gracie.
played with sidewalk chalk
eli and "grace" (as eli calls her) had a sleep over, and they watched ice age and had rainbow sherbert.
we also played at the park
eli and gracie had such a fun time together ...
being far away from family makes you appreciate special weekends like this past one.

during our stay up north, we even had coffee and a mini play date with lesley and rowan.

he is the cutest, chubbiest 6 month old we know... even chubbier than eli was at that age.
he has the best eyes, and loves to snuggle you when you hold him.
i wish i could snuggle him more.
so besides our trip to mogadore, we spent some mommy daddy family bonding time too.

we fed the ducks in gahanna

and we made a campfire for the boys.

today we had lunch out at the pond

yep, surgery is no fun, but it definitely gave me some much needed time at home.
i'm sad that it's over.
