January 20

Eli is completely potty training with no accidents since my last blog entry. And while we were at it we trained Sam too!! No more diapers!!!!

...and then I woke up.

Yep. Still buying size 4 AND size 6 diapers. Eli continues to be smarter than us and one step ahead.
The advice from our pediatrician is to put Sam on the potty and praise him over and over ... For just sitting there. Maybe, just maybe, that might work.
...to be continued.

Here are some cute pics from the last week or so.

Sammy was 23 lb 6oz at his 18month check up. 20th percentile for height and weight. He has started repeating most words (some correctly, some totally incorrectly) and uses only a few with purpose. He definitely knows and uses bye correctly all the time ... But everything else is a "eeeeeh". He will say "oh man" if you ask him what swiper says and "chuck truck" when you turn on his chuck cartoon. According to doctor Pfau, that's average for a second child so our sub-par speech is ok for now.
Sammy is such a good little boy. He listens when you say no-no and is just fine with using the second choice toys that Eli gives him to play with. This morning I found Sam - he has wandered into Eli's room and was sitting in his bed. Eli was sound asleep and Sam was rubbing his back. So sweet! My sweet Sammy!!
We definitely ended up with one sugar and one spice!!!
