Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper)
and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs —
movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead.
His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are
now in their final position, although they're still standing out from
his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form
around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's
born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed
and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now,
but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
In just 10 short days since we saw baby sam's "genitals"... we have already named him, and i have planned out his nursery - as far as paint color (already been to sherwin williams) bedding, and decor.
i just really cannot mess around.
with eli i had it all done at 24 weeks.
i have eli's newborn clothes out, since mike told me i have to do "an inventory" before i buy anything. :)
today, at 18 weeks, i can still wear my regular pants.
how is this possible?
with eli, i put on the maternity clothes at 10 weeks.
i had also gained 20 lbs by now at this point last time.
this time, i am nowhere near that.
maybe it's because i never have time to sit down ?
maybe it's because every time i eat, a little boy named eli is begging at my feet with his mouth open like a little bird.
we 3(me, eli, sam) like mac n cheese.
eli has decided he likes head butting.
even if it hurts.
whoa bruises.
and i like little boys with faux hawks.
that's all for now.
tomorrow we are taking little boy to the ohio power expo.
why?
for the 'traaaacterrrrs' of course!!
