my boys

this baby boy has been cooking for 19 weeks already.

that is hard for me to believe.
it is also hard for me to believe that i have to do this for atleast 19 more.
i am starting to 'feel' pregnant.
you know... moody, irritable. almost all my customers at work are annoying.
tired feet and back after a 10 hour shift.
and my blood? -- it is boiling lava hot for most of the day.
why is no one else HOT when i am sweating??
i have chronic congestion and breathe like a fat girl that just ran up 5 stair cases.
even when i am sitting still.
i have quite the belly already, and i have still have half way to go.

yes, yes... this is the infertile girl whining about being pregnant.
boo hoo.
but THIS came in the mail today...
Photobucket
and it is so freakin awesome.
baby heartbeat ANY time i want.
and i'm pretty good at finding him in there, even though he was quite the little squirmer tonight.
little sam is 6 inches long and is as big as a large heirloom tomato.

but it is safe to say that i do not find pregnancy glorious...
my body isn't made for this (or my mind:) ) and sam will be the last fetus to inhabit my uterus.

well, until i catch baby fever again in a few years and forget all of this and just remember the fun parts like baby heartbeats and baby kicks and i can't wait for little baby hiccups.
those are the VERY best.

i feel guilty for marking sam's life week by week, and not eli's.
the mom guilt has started already.
so mr eli is 18 months and 2 weeks old...
that makes him 80 weeks old. haha
at 80 weeks, he has discovered head butting.
when he gets mad and when he gets excited.
his head is bruised. all. the.time.
we originally decided that eventually he will figure out that it hurts, and that he will stop on his own.
but at what point does that become child endangerment to let him knock himself out?!
luckily it hasn't come to that yet.
and we have an elmo ice pack that he loves to carry around and put on his boo-boo.

this was last night...
he has a lovely knot on his forehead.
we played on this stool for almost an hour.
he likes to JUMP off the highest step.
imagine that.

at 80 weeks old, eli is quite the little problem solver.
we took away his stool that grandma Barb got him for christmas.
that was causing tooooo much mischief.
so little boy has used other resources available to him.

like large tupperware containers for instance.
at 80 weeks...
eli has moved up to size 5 diapers
(i think we started size 4 at 6 months, so that was a good year in size 4's.)
he loves the water... still...
and tractors... still.
oh the tractors we saw at the power expo.
little boy was IN HIS GLORY.

he continues to be a momma's boy (which I LOVE!)
and likes to talk about papa, snow, and things that are cold.
he has figured out big and little, hot and cold, up and down.... and says them too.
new today...  please and thank you all day long.
"peeese and tan-tu"

That is all for the little boys in our life.
The big boy that lives here...
the one we call da-da....
well he is now officially Lieutenant Windon.

all that studying for months and months.
he put himself through a lot with eli as a newborn.
i had post partum depression, and he was taking care of eli mostly 24-7.
he was doing night times with eli, and every chance he got, he gave up his nap or his work out, and went to the library to study.
for an exam that MIGHT get him promoted in the next 2 years or so.
and now it has come true.
no more life on the medic.
back to his career as a firefighter.

we are proud of you mike windon.
and we love you.
