pics and exciting merchandise purchases

well hello there, how was YOUR weekend??

Ours was a lot of fun.

No work, all family.

Mike took Eli up north on Thursday and they stayed with grandma candi and papa jeff.

Eli ate some breakfast with papa

and grandma let him make pudding himself.

I'm not sure about the clean-up on this project.

I imagine it was one step up from disastrous. :)

Then I came up after work Friday and we stayed with grandma Barb and papa Mark.

We went to pick out some baby furniture for baby Sam's nursery.

we are going for black, and this might be the set... if I can convince Mike it is worth the money!

I also made my first baby clothing purchase.

I really AM keeping it to a minumum since Sam has everything he could possibly need to look fashion forward - since Eli grew so fast that he wore most outfits only ONCE.

The only things I will buy are clothes that are so cute that I might die if I don't purchase them.

OR....

matching with a size that Eli can wear.

Oh, and of course baby Sam needs baby bedding...

so we ordered this with our amazon points.

super cute, but the rest of the nursery will a surprise,

since I am trying to pull off a pinterest project on his walls, and I don't know if it is over my head.

If I show you how it is SUPPOSED to look... mine will look awful in comparison.

Oh, and baby Sam will NEED his hat also.

This hat qualifies in the category of " i might die if i don't purchase' category.

me, well i'm growing a human.

a new baby nursery,

our basement is being framed this week to start the finishing of our basement.

so exciting.

well... and then you have this little man...

HE is a ball full of energy and excitement 24/7!!
I think some people this weekend were amazed at his rambunctious little self.
mostly gracie was caught  little off guard, since Eli tends to play lots rougher than her.
Like on a scale of 1 to 10, Gracie 1 Eli 25.

But isn't he quite the super star in his shades?

when he puts them on, he tells you 'daaaaark, daaaaark'.

i guess the tinting on his shades is a little too much for his liking.

This weekend while at my mom's... i looked through old photo albums.

so much fun -- since Eli resembles my brothers so much.

he definitely resembles MY family, although i need to get a hold of some more of mike's baby pics to re-evaluate.

Back to work tomorrow morning, then mike starts his first lieutenant shift Tuesday.
Wednesday next week is our 20 week anatomy scan!!
