life is hard.

William C. Lansinger, 87, passed away November 25, 2012.

He was born in Mogadore and was a life resident of the area. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and married his sweetheart Rita Elmerick on June 22, 1946. He retired from General Tire and Rubber Company as a stationery engineer after 42 years of service and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by brother, Harold; and sister, Naomi McCloskey. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rodger Sansom, Deb and Norm Lingle, Barb and Mark Shull; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal and son, Dave Lansinger; grandchildren, Brian (Shannon), Nick (Marilyn), Erin (Michael), Michael (Michelle), Matthew, Sarah, William, Mark and Benjamin; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, June Brown of Norwalk.

A memorial mass will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father Don Serva celebrating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mogadore Rescue Squad, 135 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.


even if we could have had some kind of warning, this still would have been hard. 

and for the record...

not included was his love for taking care of his yard and flowers. And all things sweet, especially ice cream. he loved to golf and he loved to watch his grandkids play ball. He also LOVED the price is right. He also did NOT like it if you put trash in his trash can after he JUST emptied it.
