February 22

Kalahari was a hit with the kids. . . We went yesterday to celebrate Gracie's 5th birthday.
It's a pretty cool place ... The kids had a wave pool and slides and a lazy river. Eli rode in the lazy river three times, loving to go threw the waterfalls. All the kids had to wear life jackets in the water. Understandable rule but come ON. Sammy HATED his life jacket. We tried on about 5 different ones and every single one was a hot mess that made us laugh. He looked miserable, like a dog with a with a cone collar.
I kept taking it off him and I got the whistle blown at me by a 16 year old life guard about 10-20 times.
Hey lady. No toys in the wave pool. Squuuuze me lady. He needs a life jacket.
Anyway. I don't like being told what to do.
No food by the pool. Except dip n dots. Yum.
Eli brought a monster truck and he found a little water fountain.
No lie, he watched that water spray up around that monster truck for two hours.
(The sun shining through the windows ALMOST made us feel like we were in a real vacation!)
(Mimi and Sammy doing the itsy bitsy spider. )

Sammy and Anna played good together and willingly kiss and hug now on command.

Both boys were well behaved and no one pooped in the pool. So all in all ... It was a good day.

The boys miss Mimi's house and all the action that comes with it. Mimi. Papa. Ginger. Lindi. Deb. Grandma Rita. Sarah.  Uncle Markie.  Gracie. Anna. Sophie. They sure sleep good when we come home.

After we said a facetime goodnight to our cousins of course.
Happy 5th birthday Gracie Mae. We love you very much!!!
