all day long. just stop on by.
2 kids, 2 years & 2 months, 2 colds and coughs... ONE parent.
no pills or hormones necessary.
just come over and you will think twice about having (another?) kids.
ok. i'm probably mostly kidding. but today was rough.
not my finest mommy moments.
i yelled at eli a few times (as he was kicking sam? pelting sam with a pacifier?)
in that evil mom voice that my mom used to bring out only in her most desperate moments.
i didn't even know i had it... but it's there.
It never came out when it was just eli.
It never came out when it was just eli.
i had that thought... my name is not mommy. i'm changing my name.
my mom always used to say that.
(And she had FOUR?? Crazy woman!)
Patience.

i told eli i was going crazy.
he said, eli go see gracie too?
so he does provide a little comic relief every once in awhile.

both boys have lovely crusty noses, croupy sounding coughs, fevers, and the need to be held all hours of the day.
i finally got Eli to eat today...
Yes, lucky charms. And he only ate the marshmallows.
I told you, today i am not winning a mother of the year award.
he had a banana too.
For lunch I got him to eat 2 glasses of peanut butter/banana smoothie, a TON of grapes, rice cakes with peanut butter, a gerber veggie packet, AND teddy grahams.
So I think we are on the mend.
After a little ibuprofen (for me and Eli) and tylenol (for Sam), our afternoon was better than our morning.
Eli played quiet by himself
and sam gave in and slept.
breathing LOUDly through his mouth.
my cute little smiley sammy boy...
smiling through his cold.
we are glad daddy will be home in the morning.
and eli doesn't do the whole 'mommy hold you?' nonsense when mike's around.
so his day should be a little easier.
tonight we discussed our plans for this fall.
i love how eli listens intently and seems to understand (and remember from last year?)
he tried on his halloween costume.
although he wasn't estatic about it.
he is excited to carve pumpkins and jump in the leaves.
I think I am much more excited than him,
but maybe my enthusiasm is contagious?
Carpe a couple of Kairoses a day.
